Microsoft has discontinued the Internet Explorer on 15th June 2022. Though it’s modern counterpart Microsoft Edge has come, some of us are still missing it very much as lots of government portals still use Java and Internet Explorer is the best match for it. Portals like WBTenders and NREGA still use old fashioned Java applet which only works in Internet Explorer. Also new laptops ship with Windows 11 and newer desktops do not support OS below Windows 10. And in both cases, we get Micosoft Edge, not Internet Explorer. To run Java in Microsoft Edge on Windows 11 or Windows 10 we need a small workaround. Here are the steps.
